What is an Upcycling Project? An upcycle project is a process where a used object is manipulated or transformed to create another piece that can be used daily for other new purposes.

Homemade Jewelry Box

For this upcycle project we will be making a jewelry box with an old carton box.

Steps:

Materials

1.Cardboard box 2. Spray Paint 3. Acrylic Paint 4.Scissors 5.Paint Brush 6. Glue Using the scissors, cut cardboard box lid. Do not throw away the lid because later on next steps it will be useful.

Cover the box with the spray paint color of your choice. Then wait for it to dry. Create or draw small divisions on the inside of the box. Then using the box lid that was removed from the box previously, cut pieces according to the space that was drawn on the box.

Spray paint each piece. Let them dry. Paste each piece on the inside of the box according to the divisions that were drawn previously. Let it dry.

Finally decorate the box with acrylic paint and with other decorations of your choosing.
